Thanks, my thought was that Debian installed packages could/should be part of the classpath, but in retrospect that may be Debian-automagicy - but it's not very Javaesque.

So true. I've revised the code that generates the import statements. Now, I'll just use the sqlite3 .import with a csv file delimited by |.
