comment Is it possible to swap key switches in a mechanical keyboard?
It would be nice if the person who down-voted would be courteous enough to leave a comment saying why... Is this a bad question? Off topic? Duplicate?

comment nVidia GTX 650 doesn't display any output after installing drivers
It's a 980W power supply - should be more than enough power, the card has LEDs on it to indicate if it has the correct power, when I plug it into the PCIe slot, the RED LED turns on, and then when I connect the 6-pin power connector, the LED turns GREEN. I don't have it installed right now to check the PhysX/SLI tab, but I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

@Ramhound I removed the drivers before installing the card - when no drivers are installed and the 650 is alone, I get output on the screen, but no 3d accleration (indicating pass-through only) - when I install the driver, nothing displays on screen - it is then that I reinstalled the 8800 alongside the 650 in order to get that screenshot. (The screenshot was taken with both the 8800GT and the 650 GTX installed in PCI-E slots in the system).

@Ramhound Driver version is 320.18 - and yes, I removed the 8800GT before installing the 650 the first few times trying to get it to work.

comment Will a standard (off the shelf) modern graphics card work in a Mac Pro?
That link is very interesting, thanks. However, it seems to be geared towards people building "CustoMacs" or "Hackintoshes". I read somewhere that a possible reason standard cards wouldn't work in a Mac is that they require different boot systems. Is this true? Would these cards work in an actual Mac Pro as well as a Hackintosh running OS X?

comment Mixed RAM modules in a Mac Pro
The RAM I'm considering is DDR2-800, the same speed as the modules I already have installed. And as far as I'm aware, the Mac Pro I have (early 2008, quad core Xeon) has 2 memory riser cards with 4 slots each.

comment How can I know for sure that buying more memory for my MacBook Pro will result in perceivable increase in performance?
In case you didn't already know, you can buy RAM from Crucial at much lower prices than what Apple charge. However, this only applies if you're comfortable with replacing the ram yourself. crucial.com

comment Logitech G5 2007 Edition with Mac OS X Snow Leopard, 5th button not invoking Exposé
Only problem is that it only seems to persist for the current session. If you log out again or restart, you'll need to repeat the process... Damn Apple :(

Perhaps you should encrypt the contents and password it?

comment Can I erase OS X after I installed Windows with Boot Camp?
So... you bought a Mac, and you're just going to run Windows on it? Couldn't you have saved a lot of money and just bought a cheaper non-mac laptop?

comment Is it possible to upgrade the hard drive in a MacBook Pro without voiding the warranty?
It says the warranty doesn't cover damage caused. I interpret that to mean that the drive can be swapped out without voiding the warranty, as long as you don't damage the macbook in the process?

comment Is Snow Leopard 64-bit mode required for 4+ gb of RAM?
While you don't need 64 bit to access more than 4GB of ram in OS X you may benefit from 64 bit if you're doing a lot of intensive work such as 3d modeling, image processing (at very high resolutions) and so on.

comment Mac apps not seeing iTunes library
Then again, try resetting iPhoto and other apps using the same kinda method. Delete their preferences files and see if that helps. It could be that the other apps are at fault and not iTunes.
