comment How do I add laptop to DC through wifi?
You have to set it up so the laptop can see the VM running the domain controller. You need to bridge (have the VM look like it's on the "real" network) instead of NAT (have the VM be proxied to the real network but have a RFC 1918 address)

What is the IP address of the laptop & DC? Can you ping between them or otherwise reach each other over your network? Once that works you just need to add your laptop to the domain using domain credentials.

@TheRookierLearner - no, you can use the IP address your ISP provides you. However, depending on your home network's configuration, can be shared through all your devices by something called PNAT (most folks just call it NAT). If you are like the majority of folks you'll need to figure out the "NATed" IP of the specific device you want to access from the internet (just ifconfig/ipconfig on the system, it will be a 10.x.x.x, 172.16.x.x. or 192.168.x.x address see RFC 1918 for more than you care about these numbers) and then tell your router to "port forward" or "DMZ" port 22.

comment How to keep cloud storage synced when changing an operating system?
Depends on how the sync was done initially. If it's rsync you should be good, many other synchronization systems use some method to create metadata so you only have to manage changed deferentially.

comment SSHD or hybrid vs HDD for laptops?
I have a lot of experience with the enterprise versions, not the ones you'd use in a laptop. They work very well BUT I can't speak to reliability/compatibility for consumer versions.

comment Lock all domain shared folder to an admin domain user
It is not clear to me what you are asking. If you are asking can you share a folder where a Domain Admin has read access but cannot write to it, sure, no problem.

@tamas.pflanzner you may want to edit your question to make it more vendor neutral.
