comment What is this Filezilla Connections Timeout setting for?
ok. so it's the CLIENT idle time. wouldn't that alwasy kick in first before the no TX time? and ... BTW - this question is for our ftp server, for our company. so it's a pretty relevant sys admin topic. Yes? (we have 50+ companies ftp'ing their data to us every few mins)

why did you unmount disk2? I thought you need to leave the DVD drive mounted, so you can read the data from it?

yep. if you looked at the video, the card has 2x 6 pin PCI-E connectors and I've shown that in the video and even said that in the vid.

comment Why is my Mac not displaying anything to my LCD tv using HDMI?
i know this is a late reply, etc.. but I've been using the short cable to connect between the adapter and the tv. This weekend, I've connected the tv->built in wall HDMI cable -> 5meter extension -> ATI HD5850 HDMI port .. and it works 100% fine! this means the wall cabling is fine. The issue is definately the breakout box I purchased (and pictued in the OP). Looks like it can't send enough power along the longer cable. Sorry mac - looks like the PC is the new media center :)

comment How can I check if my system needs more PSU power?
Hmm. interesting. So that calculator is suggesting that my usage is around 286W .. and recommends a 336W minimum PSU .. so my 480W PSU should be able to handle this... hmm. maybe it's not the PSU then .. :( Do those numbers sorta sound right, for my rig?

comment Firebug like application for chrome?
@MatrixFrog - true dat .. but his answer (IMO) is still the best. The built in Developer Tools are equivalent to FireBug's tools -- for most general things. Definitely a good start.

@Troggy - have u looked at my video? that's the first step, in the video. And the short cable works. TV <-> short HDMI cable <-> iMac. I'm starting to wonder if this has something to do with the adapter then... ???
