comment How to prevent WD MyBook Live Duo from going to sleep?
And, yet again, this setting appeared to work for a little while, and the drive is still unresponsive at times.

Ok, I did mention Windows Explorer :) Although the MyBook Live Duo is a NAS, so no OS is really necessary in the question or answer.

I've tried this setting in the past and it didn't seem to work...

The MyBook Live Duo is a NAS. Any Windows machine power settings wont affect it. Plus, what if I'm using a Mac? You just assumed Windows...

Did you fix the problem, and what did you do to fix it?

comment Does using a certain kind of numbers make a good password?
Why don't you just put a three digit number in your password instead of a special non-ASCII character? You would get the same effect anyway.

comment Can I install windows 7 x64 in a VPC where the host is vista x86?
The current release of Virtual PC (version 2007) actually doesn't support x64 guest OS's at all. I think the new Windows Virtual PC for Windows 7 will; I hope.

comment Internet connection under Windows Vista stops working until reboot
It may help the problem, but you generally don't want to stop getting updates altogether. It'll be better to nail down the issue and get it fixed.

I had a similar problem with an Belkin card in my desktop that uses Atheros hardware/drivers running on Windows 7. I have since stopped using the wireless card and now use a wired connection instead. The card doesn't have any good drives for Windows 7 so that was my only option besides getting a newer wireless card that is "certified" to support Vista/7.

You should try wording your question to not be so General and Vague.

um... "version 1.0"? Actually Windows 7 is Version 6.1 of Windows.

comment Why won't Windows 7 install my downloaded .NET 3.5 SP1?
Actually you can always right-click any EXE and select "Run as Administrator" to elevate its privileges.

comment does Windows 7 come with something like Virtual PC built in?
Actually Windows 7 does support the ability to Boot the machine from a VHD. So really you can use them as both a data drive and a boot disk. It's not virtualization since it runs on the bare hardware so you get the full performance of the machine when booting from VHDs.

comment What are the non compatible changes from WinXP to Windows 7?
One thing to keep in mind is that Windows XP Mode will only be available with Windows 7 Ultimate and Business editions. It will not be available with Windows 7 Home Premium. As far as I know, unless they've changed it.

Um... Aero isn't a feature that's only available in Win7 Ultimate. It's in Home Premium too.

Win7 Ultimate will run just fine without Aero. If your graphics aren't powerful enough, then Aero will just be disabled and the OS will run just fine.

comment Best Wireless Card for x64 version of Windows 7/Vista?
It's nice that nobody has commented yet... I have since purchased a long CAT6 cable and now have a wired connection. Any way it would probably be nice for someone else who finds this question while searching if others would post some kind of answer to help them out. I however gave up on wireless with my desktop.
