comment Is it safe to clean my iMac's screen with household products?
I trust you're referring to the stuff for washing dishes in the sink, not the nasty stuff for automatic dishwashers?

Correct. The OP asked how to do it "without the need to open a separate FTP client".

Are you trying to remove a file within the Truecrypt archive, or the archive itself?

comment Symlinks are inaccessible by their full path on OS X
Can you run any of the other, non-linked, apps in /usr/local/bin, either via 'path' or by specifying their full path, or are only symlinked apps affected? What about in the parent, grandparent, ..., directories?

comment Need Suggestions on Backup Strategies and Alternatives?
As convenient as it is - and it is - I wouldn't recommend TM for any form of version control. Snapshots are taken on its schedule, not on yours (though you can manually initiate one), and it prunes old backups too soon and too often to rely on it for that. That said, it is an effective as an incremental backup as part of an overall backup strategy.

comment A Firefox “master password” feature that's friendly to guest users?
In this related question superuser.com/questions/90864/… , the only other suggestions were to use one of several external (to Firefox) password managers. So I'd guess those are the two directions to explore, other than a DIY solution, such as a script to toggle the value of signon.rememberSignons in prefs.js? But even then, a browser restart would likely be required.

comment Magic Mouse and Alum keyboard autosleep?
Probably 8-9 hours a day, not necessarily typing-intensive, but on and active. I don't shut my keyboard off, ever (except a couple of times, just to watch the reconnect process). I don't know how much battery run time would be extended if I did, but at 3 months/set of batteries, I'm not motivated to do so. I suspect the KB goes into a low power mode when it has been idle for a while but that's a guess.

comment Convert a small image into a larger version in terms of filesize
Because it directly addresses the OP's request. He said he means "to get revenge".
