After working professionally as a video-game developer, I moved to southern Alberta, and am now a command-line-loving Mac sysadmin. In my spare time, I like to play with robotics.

@JonRodriguez, it appears to me that the issue with the "open" command has been fixed.

comment Immediately tell which output was sent to stderr
This works very nicely, and gets the output order in the correct fashion due to the way it works. Set it up once, and turn it on in your profile, and you get red messages whenever stderr is written to.

That sounds really interesting. Given that you have to contact them for a quote, it is likely well beyond what I am willing to pay.

comment Is it possible to run NXT-G software under Linux using Wine?
@Joubarc While I don't think NXT-G is based on flash, it certainly uses it, especially for showing building instructions. You feel it when you have a flash problem -- ex. forums.usfirst.org/showthread.php?t=17827 .

Once a renderer has gone to the trouble of transforming polygons and lighting their vertices, it could simple emit the result as a 2D polygon. Pantograph does sound interesting; thanks.
