comment How to send Ctrl+Alt+F1 (and other special keystrokes) to X window?
Unclear. I expect if the "Ctrl+Alt+Fx" event goes into a VNC client then the client will cause VNC server to issue "Ctrl+Alt+Fx". The problematic part that "Ctrl+Alt+Fx" does not reach the client, being interpreted by Xorg.

comment How do I make a part of music repeat endlessly in Rosegarden?
Workaround: Place a Quick Marker at the beginning of the loop, and press Ctrl+M to jump there (better than finding and clicking the position with mouse).

comment How do I slow down music in Rosegarden without editing the tempo permanently?
It is about Audacity. Audacity is audio editor, Rosegarden is MIDI editor. There are mostly notes, pitch, instruments, tempo etc. there, not samples and effects.

The tempo can also be ramped, so tricky to edit.

What does mean "section of the audio track"? There are MIDI tracks and segments inside it. I can only select a segment.

@xR34P3Rx, Please suggest specific Google search request. I've tried rosegarden repeat, but haven't saw anything useful.

comment How to really force unmount a filesystem (without manual investigation why is it busy)
@deesto, Lazy unmount does not make the undelying block device (LVM volume, LUKS container, loopback) unreferenced.

comment How do I copy a file with accompanying symlinks in Linux?
@Barmar, Will it be different from cp -a? I need to specify one file, but also copy associated files.

comment How do I copy a file with accompanying symlinks in Linux?
It does copy only one file. I need to copy a system of a file with associated symlinks. With only cp -a (or cp -d) I'll get a broken symlink.

@BarafuAlbino, Shouldn't properly implemented USB host port be resilient against shorting anything with anything or with ground?

comment Can I repair a physically broken USB drive?
I usually expect USB ports to be resilient against short circuit in newer (where USB 2 is already "newer" and USB 1.1 is "old") computers. Using cheap a USB hub should reduce critical failure probability further.

comment Can XMPP/Jabber support editing of messages and offline message like in Skype?
It's needed for fixing typos and clarifying things, not for hiding the information. I don't like to leave blatantly imperfect messages around without any effort to fix; and separate correction messages (especially mutliple ones) does not look good.

comment How to output file from the specified offset, but not “dd bs=1 skip=N”?
It's not about viewing the file as hex. It's about extracting the content of a file (to copy it somewhere, for example) from the specified offset in bytes.

comment How do I dump information from a Windows *.lnk shortcut on Linux?
lnk files are text, open them with a text editor (deleted comment) -> It looks like a binary file, with a lot of zero bytes and some UTF-16le fragments.

Maybe also put something in front of Apache (like NginX) to stop Slowloris attacks?
