comment fsck an ntfs drive in Linux
@ZayneSHalsall In Debian, it happens to be a symlink to ntfsfix which is in ntfsprogs. I guarantee you that you will be able to run ntfsfix if ntfsprogs installed properly.

comment Is securing Wifi with MAC Filter enough?
I think the real question isn't "is there any benefit to actually having a password on the wireless?", but rather "is there any benefit to having MAC address filtering on the wireless?".

comment Direct transfer of a file between two computers on the Internet
@Benoit Skype always uses direct connections; even the database of Skype users is distributed. The benefit to Skype is its end-to-end encryption; Skype can't see the data you're transmitting. (+1 btw)

comment What is the difference between a kibibyte, a kilobit, and a kilobyte?
@endolith In a perfect world, b wouldn't be ambiguous, and kb/s looks nicer than kbit/s (and is technically correct).

comment How far will you get with an 'rm -rf /' command?
I tried rm -f /bin/rm once. Unfortunately, it worked, and I spent the next hour getting the right version of rm back from GNU coreutils.

@Moab MAC = Media Access Control, Mac = Macintosh Computer (I know I'm anal about it, but it really irks me).

comment Middle click in Windows 7 on a Macbook Pro
Somebody's awfully negative! Also, is this a Unibody, or does it have a physical click button?
