The compaction saved about 8GB and I'll be doing the rest once he migrates to Outlook 2010. Thanks!

comment vCalender(vcs) to comma-seperated(csv) format convertion
MAC ≠ Mac. MAC = Media Access Control (address). Mac = Macintosh (computer). (I hate to nit-pick, but it really irks me).

Have you tried sudo chgrp wheel ./entries?

I feel like this belongs at skeptics.stackexchange.com (but it may even be too conspiracy-theory-y for them!).

Well that's what sudo -s does; open a root terminal. So I guess it's not a permissions problem...

Just fishing here, but what if you try sudo -s and then run the command?

comment Do all harddrive docks have a limit of 2 TB?
@JoJo Grab an HDD rack and build your own NAS! I took an old beige box, put FreeBSD on it and I've got the power of ZFS at my disposal. Hot-swappable, expandable, contractable, manipulatable storage at my fingertips. No running out of space in my future!

@JoJo Personally, I use the NewerTech Voyager. This uses the Oxford 944SE chipset which supports as large of a drive as you can dock in it. (Not that I'm providing a shopping recommendation, as it's clearly against the rules in the FAQ).
