comment How to store an XML document in Mac OS X?
You could open up a Terminal window; start a command-line editor like pico, emacs, or vi; and type or paste in the contents of your plain-text file.

comment Text editor for Mac that will open any file
Just to clarify, my point was that the macvim.org website was outdated, not vim the text editor. vim development for Mac OS X is alive and well at code.google.com/p/macvim

comment Why isn't write-access to NTFS partitions provided with Mac OS X?
The question is a bit misleading since the NFTS-3G driver enables read/write access to NTFS partitions. A less misleading question would be "Why isn't write-access to NTFS partitions provided with Mac OS X?"

comment What do cell phones/cell network devices potentially interfere with on airplanes?
@geoffc I will not exclude the possibility that CDMA phones can cause audio interference, but GSM phones are notorious for doing so, as the Google search illustrates.

The resonant harmonic phenomenon exists for all cell phones that use the GSM standard. See google.com/search?q=GSM+buzz
