I used to do this; then I discovered document classes designed for this task.

comment Simulink is to Matlab as _______ is to Mathematica?
I chose to link to the Wikipedia page because I thought it did a better job of explaining how MathModelica could be integrated with Mathematica, but I'm fine with the edit.

comment Ubuntu terminal, How do I “tab” (autocomplete) a filename window-cmd-style(cycle options)?
@vava: You're describing bash's possible-completions command, which is usually the default behavior. The question is how to replace this behavior with the behavior provided by bash's menu-complete command.

comment Free software for making images of mathemathical calculations?
The short-term lazy solution would be to create all the equations in the Microsoft Office Equation Editor and to export them via screenshots. The long-term lazy solution would be to learn basic (La)TeX math syntax, which is supported by a number of other systems (MediaWiki and WordPress being two prominent examples). It's the medium-term that doesn't have a good solution, and unfortunately that seems to be where you are at.

comment Snow Leopard sluggish after upgrade from Leopard
One would expect Spotlight indexing to be disk I/O limited, so it still could be the reason for the sluggishness, even if it's not maxing out the CPU.

Well, that's what you get for using a computer algebra system as a formula editor. :-p

comment Free software for making images of mathemathical calculations?
If you want something that will "remember the formula itself, not the image," your free software options are pretty much limited to (La)TeX and MathML. Of the two, I find (La)TeX much easier to read and write by hand. It's also what Wikipedia uses to render mathematical formulae.

comment How do I install Slackware on VMWare Fusion on OS X?
I read the question to mean that he's downloaded the 6 separate Slackware CD ISO's and he's not sure how to have VMWare Fusion switch among them during the installation process.

comment Listing everything else than *{.tex, .aux} by ls
"ls | grep -v .tex | grep -v .aux" seems to work. (On my machine, ls does not take the -I or --hide flags.)
