comment how do I export ConEmu settings?
@Maximus: I wouldn't exactly call that "easy", and I'd definitely not call that user-friendly or obvious. You should really add an [Import] button to go along with the [Export] button.

comment How can I change to the previous directory instead of going up?
@Wiesław: Really? I wish bash had that... Of course, I could alias cd to pushd, and it'd mostly be the same.

comment How to get Firefox to stop asking me to upgrade?
@BigChief: check the page SkyBeam linked to in his answer, Firefox is now ignoring app.update.channel and you have to edit a particular JS file in the Firefox installation.

comment How can I get Adobe Reader X (10.0.1) to save my toolbar preferences?
No good for me, I already had that option turned off and yet I still don't get any toolbars at all in the browser.

comment Windows batch-file that continues after launching each program
Having the same problem and removing the quotes doesn't make it work either.

comment Free image editor with tablet pressure support on Windows?
@Sathya: I just think a more appropriate related question would be one dealing with tablet support in apps, free or otherwise. Sorry if I came off as offensive.

@Sathya: Except it has nothing to do with tablet support.

Well, aren't I a bucket of derp. Found 2.7.1 for Windows in the same place I found 2.6.10, just under a different category. That'll teach me.

I'd like to use GIMP single window mode, but it's not in 2.6 and I've yet to find Windows builds of 2.7. I can't handle that multi-window mode, too many terrible memories of old Visual Basic 4. Chances are this'll be what I go with in the end, though I'd still love to hear of alternatives!

comment X-scrollwheel in Windows
KatMouse uses proper wheelmouse semantics for windows, and can be configured to do scroll mouseclicks for windows which don't support wheelmouse messages, per-application and per-window. It's a cinch to set up that way, too. KatMouse wins for this purpose.

N/M, I'm an idiot who needs to RTFD. Still, it doesn't work for some apps, like Document Explorer.

I'm already using KatMouse, but it doesn't always seem to do the trick.

comment Windows 7: Transparent command window?
All the same, it offers transparency to background. It also features tabs so you don't have to have several command windows open at once. And, it doesn't need to use cmd.exe; I have Console set up to run Cygwin bash and PowerShell as well, which is not hard to do at all.

comment How can I install Internet Explorer 7 on Windows 7?
I couldn't see any other reason. IE8 has better standards capabilities, IE6 has been standardized on by many lazy developers, but IE7 is the red-headed stepchild of the Trident engine family.

comment Microsoft Outlook tips and tricks for improving user experience?
Of course, at the same time it's still important to keep track of how many e-mails you have to take action on at a later date. I've got an @Action folder full to the brim because I neglect that fact quite often.
