How do I enable VT-X? After some searching I found a newer (looks like unofficial) BIOS with the support for VT-x always on (instead of always off). |

How do I enable VT-X? I do have an Ivy Bridge Laptop and it should support VT-x but... The BIOS has no option to enable it; is there another way to enable it? I might create a new SuperUser question. |

How do I enable VT-X? Is there any way to enable vt-x without using the BIOS? I just bought a laptop with an Intel 3820QM and the bios does not give me this option; other people complain about it also so it is not something I missed. It is a Clevo P170EM |

NVidia ION and /dev/mapper/nvidia_… issues Yes I know, I tried and I tried and got help from a veteran Linux nerd and at one point... it worked, and I cannot tell what did the trick. So yes, I am sorry because something was definitely mangled with the hds/mobo and I vow never ever to touch ION raid options again! |

NVidia ION and /dev/mapper/nvidia_… issues It did not help me but I am glad it helped someone else. Eventually I did get it to work after some tweaking (a bit more than I hoped) and I cannot backtrack what was the change that did it :(. So I will accept this answer since it did help DJ Capelis. |

NVidia ION and /dev/mapper/nvidia_… issues @~quack: I did clear the CMOS (with jumper on board: Point Of View MB330-1. Also resetting to default did not help, cleared out the HD. I did place it into an external HD container and the HD was found without any partitions but not directly on a SATA connectior though. |
