comment Word 2010 Cross-Reference Text Doesn't Update
Normally, I would agree with this answer... but for some reason in my current document Ctrl-A F9 doesn't work. Selecting a subset of text does, so I assume I am selecting something "clever" that is blocking it.

comment Can I trick Carbonite into backing up an external hard drive?
I'd say it can be ethical ! I have the same situation. In this case an old laptop (permanently stationary) and no way to add an internal drive.

comment Webcam software for “work area”
Unfortunately, although I can set it to monitor people... it records all of the event. This is another good tool though and the people identification was very good.

comment Webcam software for “work area”
Webcam XP seems reliable (probably best menu settings of the many apps I have played with), but unfortunately security mode records the motion - and seems to create new files (the latter may be my fault)

comment Framework for interactive shell script (bash)
Not entirely sure I agree, but academic as I don't have the power at present. People will cut and paste answers and snippets, and the better they are - the more useful the stackoverflow family become? -N you have edited I still think the #! should be in, but does guard against people (perhaps like me! who shouldn't be writing scripts. The formatting / extra prompt I agree & am unlikely to have edited even given the power

Excellent. Does what I want. Have added some tweaks further down. If you can edit the answer would be good (I'll kill my reply)

Ah, sorry. I was thinking of a sample script. Maybe framework was a bad choice of word.

Didn't save so much for me, but I can confirm that the tool exists and it saved me a G plus

@studer I may have missed something, but I didn't think crontab was that flexible

Thanks for answer. Neater than any idea I had. Its only valid for 1 year - but that should be OK for most projects.
