How can I kill Firefox by console? Very strange.. If I kill firefox without -9 when it hangs nothing happens :S (btw I'm actually talking about windows, where the non -9 kill is the X on the window, and the -9 kill is terminate it from the task manager). |

What's the advantage of 802.11n if 802.11g is still faster than your ISP's connection? There is no "answer above". Answers are ordered by number of votes and the sorting can also be changed by the user (order by activity and post date). You should refer to the other answers saying the user's name. |

What's the difference between “shutting down the computer” vs “shutting down the hard disk”? You can't use the computer if your monitor is turned off, and if you shut down the computer the monitor shuts down along with it too. This doesn't mean that turning off the monitor and turning off the computer is the same thing. |

Speeding up TrueCrypt in-place partition encryption @Break: Also, sorry but since I'm working I may not have a chance to reboot it soon. I'll do it as soon as I have a little breathing time, today has been really crazy at work and all my work stuff is on that hard drive..
