I've been a developer for nearly 30 years in one form or another. I learnt Pascal at University and my first job was programming in Fortran 66. I've since moved to C# & .NET via Ada, C and C++.

Over the years I've used most operating systems (apart from MacOS), starting with PR1MOS and then moving onto various flavours of Unix. I'm now exclusively on Windows (until a job that requires Unix comes along!).

Over the years I've built most of my own PCs, reinstalled operating systems, changed graphics cards and attached various peripherals both for work and home use.

One of these days I'm going to get round to these books on my Amazon Wish List

@BoltClock - Oh. Though the symptoms are consistent with something overheating.

@Potatoswatter - vote it up and promote it. With the necessary attention it'll get the votes if it deserves it.
