I am currently a web programmer for the University of Northern Colorado and I specialize in C# .net development. I have written programs using both C++ and C# and I believe in using the right tool for the job. I also have some background in SQL server and currently use SQLite for my own personal projects.

Since you mention that the problem really only exists with HTTP calls, does the router have any sort of web content filtering/url filtering options? If it does, try turning them off. Otherwise, have you been able to try a different router with your network? It could be bad hardware.

comment Firefox ALT+S keystroke to enter address bar
@Bryan, just to clarify: Ctrl+D works as expected/advertised. Ctrl+L opens the Open Location dialog box.

comment Why does Windows 7 have accelerator key combinations that cannot be used?
Ctrl+Shift+Enter doesn't work from the run dialog box.

comment What tool can I use to create and deploy Windows 7 images?
Not just WDS, I would also use the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2010 that works with WDS and allows you to have a fine grained control over the process. technet.microsoft.com/en-us/solutionaccelerators/dd407791.aspx The MDT is more for install/customization than imaging though, so that way you don't have to have images per system type, but one base image that uses information you provide to figure out what to install, and how to configure it. (based on user, computer, the DN of either, IP subnet, etc.)

comment On Windows 7, is there a command prompt line that can start cmd as an administrator?
Also, unlike sudo, runas will never cache the password for any length of time. So if you were planning on queuing up a couple quick commands like you can with successive runs of sudo. So just open a console window and run your commands there.

You can also search for cmd (like you already do) and press "ctrl+shift+enter" to launch the selected program as administrator.

Fine! I went ahead and included the /I switch to systeminfo so that it'll find it whether it's a capital t or not! :)

Yup, completely missed that. Thanks Nathan! Of course, you could also use the /I switch to make it case insensitive as well.

Just so you know the SPTD.sys is a third-party driver for the SCSI Pass-through Direct driver. It's usually used for CD emulation tools like Daemon Tools and the like.

I own the Harmony 670 (amazon.com/Logitech-Harmony-670-Universal-Remote/dp/B000IMSK8Y) and love it. Pretty much any Harmony remote is worth getting and the WAF is a definite plus!

I have their 8 port card and I love it! If you look closely you'll see that the ports are staggered and sitting on top of each other (the first picture does have 4, two in front slightly lower than the two behind it, both visible in the picture, same with the 16 port and 8 port version).
