comment Missing computer?
I once heard a story about a Server (I think it was an A/S400 that was in a closet. The Building Maint department walled in the door, and the server ran for years. Eventually somebody traced a cable going into a wall and wondered, "where's this go?"

comment When to use a RAM-Disk?
I think you're thinking of Solid State Disks, the OP is talking about RAM Disks, which are virtual drives in Memory. In the old days, if you had a system with a lot of RAM, you would create a Ram Disk, and use it for temp files, and the like. If you are running SQL Server, or any modern database, you are going to be better off giving the RAM to the Operating System, and letting the Database Manager lost the DB into RAM, that way the OS takes care of writing the data to the physical drive for persistence.

comment How long can a Windows computer name be?
The other issue you could run into is UNC paths. There is a max length for UNC paths (256 characters???) so if your machine name is long, and you have long share names, or deep directory structures, you could have issues.

comment Best recommendation for bulk cd writing
I agree with ChrisF. I once worked at a company that produced small quantities of software. We bought a bulk duplicator with a printer. Then we bought CD-Rs with a printable finish on the top. Version release day was: put a stack of 50-75 blank CDs on the feed spindle, open the program, pick the image for the label, and the ISO for the CD, enter the number of copies and hit GO. Come back in a few hours and there'd be a stack of complete CDs on the Output Spindle. Besides the robot arm to load the disks from the spindle to printer to drive to spindle was cool.

I don't think he is trying to block SPAM, just change the way some messages appear.

I think he wants to suppress the Stationary in Incoming mail WITHOUT forcing all mail to Plain-Text, ie he wants the formating, and graphics, just not the annoying stationary some people use to make their e-mails look like they are typed on lined paper or birthday cards.
