That doesn't seem to make any difference.

Well I was all excited about that option for a second, but then I found this: mail.openjdk.java.net/pipermail/build-dev/2012-March/…

Yeah, I think you are right, but this does get me a little down the path. I really feel like there have to be compile-time options floating around somewhere to do it but Oracle's stupid build infrastructure is nigh-impossible to grok.

Oh, thanks - I was looking at the Debian sources and it is U-G-L-Y

Correct, RHEL/CentOS/Fedora do not provide an analogue to those.

comment How do I configure separate adapters for internal and external networks in a VM?
"Internal Networking is similar to bridged networking in that the VM can directly communicate with the outside world. However, the "outside world" is limited to other VMs on the same host which connect to the same internal network." This doesn't do what I want. I need one adapter to speak to the outside world (through my modem) and one to speak only to my internal 192.168.*.* subnet. Is that even possible?

Haha, fair enough. I want a better solution, hence the question :)

comment List directories containing files that match a regular expression
Perfect, thanks. I prefer avoiding xargs if possible for clarity of command.
