comment What does export do in BASH?
@RenéNyffenegger but it seems, it doesn't. At least, I didn't get it until I read an answer by BloodPhilia which should be marked as accepted.

comment How can I shadow an entire directory tree and copy over files before writing them?
I wonder why isn't this answer an accepted one? It's the most complete I believe.

comment Does ext3 fragment when run at near-full capacity?
How do you list all non-contiguous files along with their number of chunks? For example, filesystem may have just one file fragmented to 10000 chunks. And if this file is used much, performance penalty may seriously rise. But a percentage of non-contiguous files will be like 0.01% in this case.

@chmod Well, actually no reason, I'm just curious. Or... If you ask... I'm using DVD version of Ubuntu installation image. It has russian language by default and it's convenient to use it. Alternate has only English I suppose. And text GUI is ugly :)

comment Power supply wattage math applied to videcards?
Well, there are two SATA hdds, 1 cdrom, 6 full usb ports (some devices bus-powered, some are not). But what I'm trying to understand is to how do I calculate amps requirement for card? And it seems, I need to purchase only PSUs with combined +12V rail, right?
