Graduated in CSE 2 years ago. Working as web developer for 1.7 years. Eager to learn(share) best-practices, efficient coding/tricks, new technology, new idea, new algorithms... Currently my most favorite language is Python (Previously it was Java). Trying to learn PERL, RUBY. But still, Python is great.

I know about these. But those dont do what I want. i.e. stop downloading (not just make it invisible) just gif images.

Tried in chrome. Error: $ is not defined. Seems @require is not allowed in chrome. Also, I think the script will not be able to stop downloading ajax gifs which get added as you scroll down.

Just tried Safe Blocker. It just gives you a proxy site which is definitely not what I want.

Blocking all gif will do. All other images should be visible. I googled, but it seems everybody is concerned about the distraction of animation. So, most of the plugins just stop the animation. I could write a chrome extension; but I was just wondering if any other solution exists.

comment Is there a Windows 8 equivalent of 'Recent Items'/'My Recent Documents'?
This should be the right answer (for Win 8).
