comment Increase space between text lines in Photoshop
@Pacerier - add one empty line and modulate from that? Other than that, I don't really have an idea.

comment How to get a “picture” of the computer cpu/disk activity while in a fullscreen application
Hm, didn't know about this tool. I will give it a try (with hope it's not too much of a resource hog on its own, since it doesn't occur all the time, it would have to collect continuously for periods of about 45 minutes)

comment How do you make text vertical in Word 2010?
Indeed, it works this way, and you actually have control over the orientation, you don't just hope you made a cell thin enough. Nice idea.

comment Getting Gmail in Emacs?
@TikhonJelvis - Organizing, sorting, filtering, archiving. The base of email is reading and writing text, for sure. But when it gets busy, you can need more than just that.

comment How can I remove malicious spyware, malware, viruses or rootkits from my PC?
This seems to be the wisest, nowadays, indeed. I would add that there is another reason for some malware to be sneaky: they will remain dormant, and use your computer for other activities. Could be proxying, storing things more or less illegal, or be a part of a DDOS attack.

comment VPN server IP address
To compare, it's like asking: "I need to know how to build a house which can rotate itself during the day, please advise", when the actual problem is that the sun on your LCD screen prevents you from reading on it during the afternoon.

comment VPN server IP address
What @DavidSchwartz means, is that you would need to state your actual need. In other words, "why do you need a free dynamic ip VPN provider?". Because the very fact of changing ip that fast is not practical, and not really going to work ideally with the way most of the Internet works.

comment vpn bandwidth limitations
Rather off-topic for Super User in my opinion. But just a detail: you use your regular ISP connection to connect to a VPN. So it won't solve your issue.

comment How to run an application from Windows XP in Windows 8?
Saying "No, you can't run the application installed on the XP in Windows 8 or application installed on Windows 8 in Windows XP." is just plain wrong. The answer is that it depends on the program. Unless a program requires an explicit parameter for an external library, a license key, or something like this, most programs will be able to rebuild their own configuration from scratch. And even without it, copying the content of the %appdata% folder from XP to Win8 will be enough for most programs to find back all their settings (browsers, for example). Some won't work. It really depends.

Not to mention programs which are storing their configuration data in their own install folder. Those ones are obviously not getting any problem.

There are a lot of programs which don't need registry keys, or configuration data. You can run them without a problem. Some others just rebuild their configuration as needed. Finally, some store their configuration in their own folder. All these cases work for such situation.

comment How to run an application from Windows XP in Windows 8?
Exactly. It's becoming even more rare nowadays, as applications tend to use less and less the registry, and more the user profiles for their configuration storage. And either way, a lot of programs are perfectly able to rebuild their configuration registry or data from nothing, without reinstalling.

comment Uninstalling hard deleted application from Windows7
@Ramhound - yes, it's not really the recommended way to do, and only a second option in my answer. The appropriate way is of course to use the normal uninstaller (even if that's not a guarantee to clean everything)

comment Will the famous sticky keys' method work for cracking Windows 8 passwords?
@SEARAS - easy, I just made a comment which seemed funny to me at the moment. I didn't downvote. I know what are sticky keys, and a 5 sec google search for "sticky keys password crack" gave me some background on what you are talking about. Besides, downvotes are about the quality of the question. You complain about people not understanding sticky keys, who should stay away... but you don't really try to explain or give context yourself, you just say "go away".

comment Same keyboard shortcuts for Notepad++ as in Eclipse
They can be exported, but someone needs to make a mapping between the Eclipse keywords, and the scintilla/notepad++ keywords for those shortcuts. Not that complicated ultimately, but time consuming.

comment Noise while skyping
@Dude - does she have some speakers, the kind which have their own power plug? If so, make her try to plug them to the computer, while both are plugged. If she is getting loud cracking noises in the speakers while doing so, then it is most likely a grounding issues. I had the same in my flat for a while (not that it caused any damage, though, but that's my particular case).
