I would try posting this on StackOverflow.

So this appears not to have been fixed as of 8/6/13. This is pathetic!

comment How can I put two wireless routers on the same subnet?
@Rory et al, it ends up there's no way anyone besides me could have solved this problem. It was my idiotic network topology. I had a Voip device inadvertently sitting between the two routers blocking the uplink traffic. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for trying to help!

Anit, I don't think the computers can see each other in either direction.

whatUwant, I've now tried plugging into the LAN port of the secondary router and disabling the secondary router's DHCP. For some reason, the primary router still won't assign IP addresses to the devices connected to the secondary router's wifi. I'm not too familiar with the protocol to understand why this shouldn't work. I'm sure it would work fine for devices connected to the secondary router's wired LAN.

@Rory my primary router has something called "wireless repeating function." This is meant for bridging a LAN wirelessly rather than bridging a wireless network across a unified LAN. The wireless function is useless on the secondary router if this mode is used because the wireless antenna is dedicated to communicating with the primary router in order to route wired LAN traffic wirelessly.

@Rory my secondary router doens't have a bridge mode.

My mistake; can you make a slight edit to your question so I can undo the downvote? Sorry about that.

Anit, I had tried both methods. Disabling secondary router's DHCP prevented any IP address from being provided to clients on the secondary network. Enabling DHCP allows internet access at least but no communication between devices on the LAN.

Hi whatUwant, you must not have noticed that in my question I mentioned that I already tried this. For some reason the primary router won't dole out addresses to clients on the secondary network.

Hi Anit, you must not have noticed that I already set up the secondary router to use 128 to 255. I also already have an ethernet cable running from a LAN port of the primary to the Internet port of the secondary. The WNR1000 doesn't appear to have a setting for "access point only".

It looks like Netflix removed the RSS feature.

comment Can I undo an automatic rename in Quicken?
@Ramhound--if you have an answer, please post it as one instead of comments. However, you seem to be saying that it's easy to undo executed renaming rules, except if they've executed. You add the exception that you can "roll back each change". You've essentially answered the question with a simple "yes" and offered no further explanation.

@Ramhound that does not address my question. That wouldn't be an "undo", that would be an outright deletion and removal of the rule itself.

comment Is it possible to stream XBMC video plugins over UPnP?
Great Horatio, thanks! It wasn't clear from your answer that internet TV and video feeds were included (you mentioned RSS feeds). If you make a minor edit and clarify that this includes video feeds that XBMC is using as a streaming input, superuser will let me change the down vote to an up vote.

It seems to me that this answer doesn't answer my question at all: I'm wanting to know whether or not I can display media on an XBOX 360 that's streaming to XBMC running on a separate PC. Am I missing something?

comment Backing up Windows Media Player star ratings?
Thanks for the pointer to Metadata Backup. This is exactly what I have been looking for. It's ridiculous that Microsoft doesn't make this data more transparent and easily exported/imported/backed up.
