comment Does Windows 7 Updates really improve your system performance?
Unless it is that recent update that causes chkdsk to run on every boot (support.microsoft.com/kb/2839011).

comment Is it possible to power on/off a monitor using the computer?
I've got a surge protector/power strip install in my desk with all my computer's power-hungry peripherals, like monitors, printers, speakers, etc. plugged into it. I just have to toggle the power button on the power strip and everything turns off.

comment Why does my microwave kill the Wi-Fi?
Heads up: many devices aren't compatible with 5GHz (my laptop, phone, and Wii are not). You will still need a router that also transmits in the 2.4GHz range (which, unfortunately, requires two SSIDs).

Good idea, but there are over 11,000 active products in the POS database (and not all of them have images). So, it still doesn't circumvent the issue.

@JseBP, that is very plausible. Thank you.
