comment Can we add more RAM sockets on a motherboard?
Some motherboards have blank areas with leads for another RAM slot. I've always wondered if soldering in a new bank would work.

Not obvious either when bad drivers will cause physical damage to your card.

I seriously doubt that the driver that ships with a card is going to be an untested one. The 2 cases I refer to involve a driver causing the card to lock in a low power mode, crippling performance. Another case caused the framerate in games to be abysmal. A manufacturer won't let something like that out the door. They will ship with a stable driver that lets their product run smooth. Should a problem arise, that will be a lost customer in the future.

comment Non-RDP Remote Desktop solution (for LAN - Windows Home Premium)
Ok, I was browsing and came across this question. It SEVERELY messed with my head and made me wonder when the heck I asked it, and why I changed my pattern of purchasing and opted for home instead of business. Need more coffee to deal with this today.

comment How can I remount an ejected (not just unmounted) USB drive on Mac?
Had a similar question pop up here for Windows. A way to make that work was to disable the USB root hub the device was connected to and re-enable it, which then initialized the usb stick. A similar methodology may work for this issue, I just am not familiar with the OS in question to guide you through a similar process.
