Stop Windows 8 from converting wallpapers to low quality JPGs Why do you think Windows "jpg"-ify images? It can use png and gif without conversion. But it needs to scale it down to fit the screen if you select "Fit". You are bound to get artifacts with any scale down; if you want perfection, do the rescaling yourself because you can't expect Windows to read your mind or know what you personally think is perfection. |

How to get same resolution with 2 monitors Install the correct driver (or updated driver) for your 2nd monitor at Benq's website. The problem is most likelyy the "Generic monitor" setting. |

Visio alternatives yEd design is flawed! You can't even create more than 1 line connector originating from a joint on a node. Trying to create a free standing line is painful. I absolutely do not recommend yEd. |

Run X app without a window Arbitrary app? I don't think so. Maybe kill the X server but then some apps will exit because it is considered (and justifiably so) an unrecoverable error. Why can't you just minimize the window? |
