Hyper-V won't enable in Windows 8 Pro: “Virtualization support is disabled in the firmware”
To enable on my previously running machine after the bios change I rebooted a few times and nothing, then I did the Bcdedit step and that sorted it out, so that step is definitely required sometimes.
