@Moab - AFAIK Process Explorer can load the public symbols from the MS symbol server and show the current call stack but has no capabilities to log calls over time?

I'm familiar with procmon. That traces file access, registry access etc. I am trying to trace the path of execution.

Google desktop search indexes web pages you visit. I find the quality of the cached pages somewhat hit and miss though and its no where near as seamless as just using your browser history - Can be useful for retrieving snippets of information though.

That's a shame I was sure that there would be some straight forward work around that would allow me to continue to use the paradigm for working with files that I'm used to. It seems not then!
