Actually, a 16:9 screen with 40" diagonal will be about 34.9" x 19.6", thus 1080 would be about 56 ppi, and 720 about 37 ppi.

NB: You should have used London rather than Greenwich Mean Time. Given that the United Kingdom uses Daylight Saving Time, they are not always the same!

Strictly speaking, you need knowledge of your current time zone to get the minute right as well. Not all time zones are offset by a whole number of hours to UTC/GMT - some like India are at xx:30; a few at xx:45.
