comment How to disable auto load of applications on restart over OS X Lion?
You don't get the "Are you sure you want to restart your computer now?" prompt? Did you disable it or something because everyone should get that. . .

comment Are registration keys for Adobe CS5 or CS5.5 platform specific (Mac or PC)?
@soandos what happens of the OP can't try it out? Maybe the friend is selling the key and not giving it (which precludes any chance of 'trying' a key out)?

comment Drag and Drop problem, Files won't drop in OS X
@Daniel Beck the drag lock setting is actually still there in lion, albeit in the Universal Access section buried underneath 2 layers of settings.

Double click to drop if you have Drag Lock on.

comment I don't get to see a preview of my PSD files in Finder
Check "Maximize Compatibility," just try, for the heck of it. It's somewhere in File Handling preferences.

comment How to disable auto load of applications on restart over OS X Lion?
The login items are usually inconsequential compared to OS X Lion's saved application states because login items are rarer, and usually user set; but still, you have a point.

You mean the "Reopen windows when logging back in" in the prompt that shows up when restarting right?

comment Is it possible to quickly set all spaces to the same wallpaper?
I think your best best is manually change them. The only thing I can think of is to modify com.apple.desktop.plist, which stores the background information (User/Library/Preferences). As far as I know no one has written an application to do this.

comment sudo chown fails with operation not permitted
@Tom a helper tool is OS X's way of giving an application elevated privileges while maintaining privileges - so if an app wants to modify a secure file, for instance, it tells the (authorized) helper tool to modify the file for it. I'm guessing ericgorr wants to avoid elevating his/her application or something to avoid the rigorous debugging that comes with that.
