@Randolf Richardson: I've uninstalled ZoneAlarm, and repaired Winsock, and the problem remains.

comment Can't ping workgroup PC over Wireless (WEP)
Those instructions are for Zone Alarm 4 and 7. I have version 9.2.102 (latest version).

comment Can't ping workgroup PC over Wireless (WEP)
Both installations of Zone Alarm have the wireless network listed in the trusted zone, which has a medium level of security, and by default, this allows incoming and outgoing ping requests. If I shut down Zone Alarm on both PCs, I still can't ping the other PC, even when the wireless connection is connected, and Windows Firewall remains off.

comment Citrix/Outlook 2003: “SBCMSYNC.DLL is not a valid Office Addin”
@PriceChild. No, Citrix applications are server-based, and installed on the server. I am not the Citrix administrator unfortunately.

comment Old driver version: ATI Radeon HD 3450 version 8.513.1.0
Sorry, I want the old driver version, not the new one, as the new one causes 2 WinXP desktops to regularly freeze. I think information has been removed from my original post.

comment Citrix/Outlook 2003: “SBCMSYNC.DLL is not a valid Office Addin”
@PriceChild: But you still can't run a repair or install a Citrix application from a client.

comment Citrix/Outlook 2003: “SBCMSYNC.DLL is not a valid Office Addin”
@PriceChild: Are you sure this applies to someone logging into Citrix first, then starting Outlook from within Citrix? Citrix is a thin-client environment, running applications from the server, so the user will have no ability to repair applications on the server.

comment PC taking >30 minutes to reach log in screen
Sorry, it is hanging on a simple black screen, before the BIOS self test. It is a member of a domain. I can't see anything referencing this computer in the event log of the domain controller, but I'm not sure what I should be looking for.

comment Firefox 4.0 Refresh and Go do not work
This behaviour also occurs if Firefox knows it is online, and can't load a URL, which is working in another browser. Pressing F5 or Refresh will not reload the page, even it loads correctly in a new tab.

comment Firefox 4.0 Refresh and Go do not work
Under the File menu, Work Offline was already un-ticked, indicating Firefox was not working offline.

Who is correct? Does it load all drivers, or only generic drivers?

@Synetech. Chrome was detecting other plugins, but I have disabled them all, restarted Chrome, yet the problem remains.

comment Identifying a graphics card
Thanks. It's hard to tell which downlink is an advertisement for some other driver utility, and which link is the HWINFO program. It did identify the model which I had just installed drivers for (as a guess), so I hope it is not reading software, but hardware.

The output is simply 00IBM VGA Compatible BIOS. Are you sure it is not identifying the software?

Thanks. I might have to get C3-PO or R2-D2 to decipher the output. :P
