comment Rename drive letter of the system partition on Microsoft Small Business Server 2003
But there is only 1 partition in the entire computer, and it is currently F. From your logic, Windows should be calling it C, not F.

comment Rename drive letter of the system partition on Microsoft Small Business Server 2003
Only one disk has been formatted, with one partition on this disk. The OS was installed on this partition, and presumably it is the boot partition?

comment Rename drive letter of the system partition on Microsoft Small Business Server 2003
@surfasb: There was a choice of two disks: something like disk0 and disk1, or disk1 and disk2. I chose the former (in each case).

comment Everything running super slow in Windows 7 on my Dell Laptop
Does that imply that IE cannot possibly be causing the issue? There are links between IE and Windows Explorer. The rest of the answer is quite valid.

Do you have a source URL for this script? I get "Invalid Character" when I try and run it.

comment How can I determine the OS of a remote computer?
If I run Computer Management on my own computer, I don't have Properties in the right-click menu of Computer Management in the tree. My PC is running Win7 SP1 32-bit.

comment How can I determine the OS of a remote computer?
If I run Computer Management as a domain admin, connect to the remote computer, and right-click on Computer Management (remotehost) in the tree, I have Connect to Another Computer, All Tasks (connect), View (standard Explorer view choices), Export List, and Help. There is no Properties in the right-click menu.

I have the computer name. I want to know what OS it is running; either by magic, or using a software tool of some description.
