Hello, I'm a Designer and Front-End Developer. I craft user experiences. I'm a GitHubber.

I write some times, teach, speak and have some side projects too. I love Jesus, am a proud father and husband, and am also a B-boy, skater, and Steeler fan. I've been to Kenya three times and my Kikuyu name is Mwaura. Sushi is probably my favorite food.

Now that you know so much about me why don't you say hi!

comment Why can't I take a screenshot on my second monitor on my Mac?
You could also just use Cmd+Ctrl+Shift+4 and select the entire screen area with the crosshairs.

I just had the same issue (a macbook pro and an additional 24" monitor) and was able to use the Cmd+Shift+4 then Space to select which monitor I wanted my screenshot from. Once hitting that keystroke combo, the cursor turns into a camera icon, and creates a light blue overlay on whichever screen you want to select. You just click on that screen and that's the screen grab you get.

comment Can somebody please recommend a good local file backup utility that will be Windows & OSX Compatible?
I use SVN for our web development, but I'm talking about ordinary files and very large files, such as Photoshop Documents that are often over 500MB, and sometimes over 1GB. So as I said I'm looking for a local backup solution, not one where internet connection bandwidth has to come into play. But thanks for your suggestion.

Around 100 GB of data - for now. But the drive is 500 GB, and eventually I'll get there. I'm doing web and graphic design.
