comment “Restore session” in gVim like in Firefox?
I did a different solution, but using a similar concept that you suggested: autocmd VimLeavePre * mksession! .vim.sess I think it would be a good idea to you to edit your answer and add the VimLeavePre approach! jaredforsyth.com/blog/2010/apr/9/vim-crash-recovery

Ooops, you're right, this is the name we gave it here. Since it's in english I thought it would be the correct one. I'm editing it to "UPS". Thanks for clarification!

Yeah, that's what I was asking, concrete examples. In Linux you have .bash_history, I'm looking for more examples and maybe a guide with all these deafult structures about privacy in both Windows and Linux.

comment Good support to multiple desktops AND multiple monitors in Linux (Ubuntu or Debian)?
So, if I have 3 monitors and 3 workspaces in each, pressing ctrl+alt+right is going to be show 9 workspaces do choose from?

I would like to have a Vim solution instead of a monitoring solution... The simpler solution I can think of is creating a script that before saving, checks files with the same names and append a number sequence to it. But since I have no experience in vim scritps, it would be difficult to me implement.

Haha, good one! It's indeed an interesting approach (Dropbox), but I can't have Dropbox installed on my work machine. :(

Do you mean associating :mksession each time I use :w for example?
