comment Should I install graphics card drivers from Windows Update?
I would probably use WU drivers for MS Keyboards and Mice.

comment How to implement a LAN between two systems, without a modem?
A crossover cable isn't required if both systems have GigE ports -- auto-MDIX is part of the GigE standard.

comment Driver for writing to UDF partitions from Windows XP?
Snow Leopard has a read/write NTFS driver available, but it's not enabled by default. Last I'd heard, there were good reasons for that too -- it wasn't stable.

comment What settings to use when making 7zip files in order to get maximum compression when compressing PDFs?
If you could save that much space, then there's probably work that could be done with the PDFs themselves to save almost all of that space without 7-Zip. A trip through Acrobat's PDF Optimizer can work wonders.

comment Software to copy non-duplicate files from CD/DVD
Fingerprinting is going to be content-specific anyway. The same kind of algorithm that can determine whether 2 songs are the "same" isn't going to work for images or video.

comment Multiple chrome.exe processes in Task Manager
Using Task Manager to see "how much memory" is being used is misleading at best. Much of that memory will be shared between the various chrome.exe processes as well as other processes for common system libraries.
