comment Multi-monitors and the corners of the screen
Since I didn't clarify: DDMM will work with 3 monitors, which is why I used the phrase "limited sounding" in reference to the name.

comment What is more important when extracting rars cpu or hdd?
A caveat: Most (all?) popular general data compression products available use what's called an asymmetric compression algorithm, with compression being much more complex (e.g. requiring more CPU time) than decompression. The basic idea being that you would only compress once, but you or many others might decompress several times. However, there are boutique and experimental compression programs with symmetric compression, and decompression can take just as long as compression. All that said, RAR is asymmetric, and the asker is very much I/O bound.

comment How to skip “Calculating” time when copying files using Windows explorer?
Because they're useful. For example, the top of my download folder has sub-folders for each PC I own. I'll hardlink programs that need installed on each system into that system's folder. I use junctions and hardlinks for all kinds of things, and Link Shell Extension makes them easier to create, see, and manage.

comment Microsoft Remote Desktop Bandwidth Usage
MS originally licensed the RDP technology from Citrix back in the Windows 2000 days, but both companies have been expanding and improving it on their own. I'm not sure how much "cross-pollination" exists between the two, but my understanding of the situation is that Citrix is measurably more efficient than RDP.

comment How do I measure how much bandwidth Internet Radio hogs?
IIRC, Pandora is 64 kb/s for free accounts, and 192 kb/s for Pandora One users. That said, streaming audio/video does not have the same usage pattern as web browsing does. Nor can it be reliably cached & proxied the same way normal web traffic can. While 64 kb/s isn't much at all for a single user, if another 20 or 30 people in the office also decide to listen to Pandora, that's 1.3 to 1.9 Mb/s, or more than complete T-1 of usage that's constantly competing with legitimate business traffic.
