Thanks for the response. Unfortunately after applying the registry value and rebooting I still don't see this: Picture for reference

@magicandre1981 Work device is a desktop computer. @ techie007 Seeing as how I'm the second person on windows 8.1 in the company I doubt there's any explicit group policies for windows 8.1 features in play yet. We're kind of the guinea pigs for the implementation.

comment What is Apache Synapse?
For what it's worth, 'Apache Synapse' doesn't to this behavior. The tool being used has a similar agent string. I suggest you read the other answers for more information.

comment Editing Hosts File in Windows 8
If you're frustrated with the whole Run as Admin thing here's how you can use the Shell Extension shortcut to do this: 1) Right click hosts file -> Open in Notepad++ 2) Close Notepad++ 3) Run Notepad++ as administrator. The file should be still open as N++ remembers the last file(s) you had open. Saves you digging through the file-open dialog.

comment When I start Windows Explorer it restarts or stops working. Why?
You're noticing this is happening when you plug your USB Key into your computer? If so, that could be an infected USB Key or a bad driver.

comment Moving Icons from one page to another in the Windows 7 Taskbar
Ooh! didn't think of this! Works Great for taskbars on top/bottom of the screen but not on the side. I like it though, and it does the job! Thankyou!

comment Moving Icons from one page to another in the Windows 7 Taskbar
@Ampersand The issue isn't opening programs. I only have about 1/2 the bar pinned, mainly so the things i use the most are on page 1, and things that are secondary are on the 2nd+ page(s). I'm looking to move something that's already open onto the 1/2 of page 1 that's not pinned so i can access it readily.

comment Plain .tar.gz binary distribution of LIbreOffice?
Yes that's an option, but it's not guaranteed to work all the time, as you need dependencies, etc... Fortunately you had them, glad it worked out for you.

For what it's worth, following the instructions on the developer page i linked will get you the dependencies you need to compile it pretty fast.

You're prettymuch going to have to compile it yourself unless you use a .deb or .rpm. The code has to compile for your distro of linux.

@The White Phoenix: This is why I mentioned in my post that it suits browsers in the consumer market.

It's probably using a botnet. I don't think banning those IPs would help anyone a whole lot.

comment Is saving the images with progressive property in Photoshop helping the images uploading in the browsers?
It's not completely useless, but it's less important now. It allows people on slow connections to get a vague picture at the start that slowly increases in quality versus showing up line by line.
