That's quite low actually. Any word on what it needs, graphics-wise?

I don't suppose it's down to your university network, is it? Do they have any restrictions on number of devices or needs authentication to connect?

@Evan - the images were inserted by stevenvh on electronics.se. Have you looked at the UPS manufacteros website for accessories?

If you paste the links to the image we can edit them in for you. However, I'm not sure what you are after - the cable in the second image should go from the back of the UPS to the PSU in the machine/server. I guess something like this but with a (usa?) plug shop11.co.uk/images/5055367807071.jpg

Generally speaking, monitors aren't user-serviceable. How are they dying? Dead pixels, screen dimming?

comment How to use internet anonymously
No software can make you safe. Just change your password regularly, have a strong password on your wireless, don't install any quesntionable software and consider using something elike Tor.

comment Can a car cd player read CD-RW?
As off-topic as this is, I planned to buy 10x CR-RW and rotate the music on them as time went by, however my JVC unit won't read them.

Yes, I do - it's an ATI card so the drivers get released and updated quite often.

comment Is there a modern browser that runs on Windows 3.1?
"modern" and "Windows 3.1" do not go in the same sentance, IMO. Time to spend some money - if the machine is that valauble doing that amount of work then surely the higher-ups would let some money go?

comment Network printer without port
What @Joeqwerty suggested is probably the best way of going about it, although bear in mind that the pc the printer is connecected to will need to be turned on all the time.

Are you sure you are using Home Premium and not Home Basic as the limit for Home Basic is 8GB of RAM (opposed to 16GB for Home Premium)?

Basiaclly, you want to connect clients to the wireless network and they get redirected to a webpage hosted on your mac, rather than their homepage?
