comment SSD internal drive vs. desktop hard drive (with 7200 RPM) - Which is preferable?
I have a 120GB SSD with the OS and some Steam games on, with the rest of my Steam files on a 500GB SATA 7,200 Spinny Disk secondary drive. Windows 7 "parks" the disk when not being used - I can hear the system spin up the disk when I go to access it.

comment Video import to Movie Maker broken
How did you download the video? If it was through downloading the WMV from BBC iPlayer, it has a form of DRM that prevents the videos being played about with. It's not possible to remove this DRM.

You ARE joking, right? I know the HP site can be a bit overwhelming but that's just pure and complete laziness.

That's quite low actually. Any word on what it needs, graphics-wise?

I don't suppose it's down to your university network, is it? Do they have any restrictions on number of devices or needs authentication to connect?

@Evan - the images were inserted by stevenvh on electronics.se. Have you looked at the UPS manufacteros website for accessories?

If you paste the links to the image we can edit them in for you. However, I'm not sure what you are after - the cable in the second image should go from the back of the UPS to the PSU in the machine/server. I guess something like this but with a (usa?) plug shop11.co.uk/images/5055367807071.jpg

comment Identify and repair/replace faulting component in LCD monitor
Generally speaking, monitors aren't user-serviceable. How are they dying? Dead pixels, screen dimming?

comment How to use internet anonymously
No software can make you safe. Just change your password regularly, have a strong password on your wireless, don't install any quesntionable software and consider using something elike Tor.

comment Can a car cd player read CD-RW?
As off-topic as this is, I planned to buy 10x CR-RW and rotate the music on them as time went by, however my JVC unit won't read them.

comment Why isn't my graphics card good enough when it should be?
Yes, I do - it's an ATI card so the drivers get released and updated quite often.
