Personally, I'd try both vmware and hyper-v to exclude virtualbox as a culprit. Then you'll know that virtualbox itself is the issue and not your pc or installation media.

@AndrewVershinin vmware it's best for virtualizing as it has better performance than other solutions from that category. Virtualbox is just free and convenient. This issue looks like an issue of virtalbox itself or some weird settings you applied to it than Arch's.Can you confirm this?

Can you try booting arch media on your computer instead of virtualbox, just to compare?

I tried both, OwnCLoud sucked as it had buggy music player and i didn't really needed all other bells and whistles it offers. Plex was good but as i mentioned, i wouldn't want to have to install anything. It needs way too much time to index my media and it's not really portable solution (i would have to reinstall it every single time i reinstall my OS). I'd prefer a simple PHP script to do this for me.

nah, it still doesn't exclude .git and setup directories from archive.. :/
