There's no "application" being used. They were created with rsync -avz /data ubuntu@remotehost:/data run from my localhost. And bash still lists them with a filesize, some in the hundreds of MB.

No, I already checked for this. Even trying to auto-complete in the directory doesn't return anything, because no files can be read.

I don't understand, what is this supposed to do? It doesn't seem to have any effect on 12.04. I'd like the right command key to trigger the context menu. Why are you telling me to test by clicking the ctrl+mouse?
