comment My internet speed became slow at night
And the question is? Whether your ISP is limiting your traffic? Maybe it would be a good idea to tell us: * Who is your ISP? * Where are you? * What kind of contract do you have? * What kind of connection are we talking about (UMTS, DSL, classical Modem-dial-in, ...)?

comment What does the command “sudo !!” mean?
So to emphasize this: !! is a history-function of the shell, and not in any way bound to sudo. You may use it everywhere where it makes sense.

You need to harden GRUB(2) too. Maybe you recognized that he told it will be an Ubuntu-PC with virtual Windows.

That is a usual BIOS feature, nothing special to DELL machines. Corporate PC often have a funny little lock to prevent you from removing the CMOS battery or doing other things (hardware keylogger, ...). They don't resist pure force, but you would recognize it afterwards, if they were broken.

If the computer is powerless, it can't do anything, if it stays so for several days. You have to lock the case to prevent somebody from switching the harddrive, you have to lock the bios and tell grub to prevent from taken parameters. In addition you have to check, that no BIOS-Master-password has been leaked for that particular bios (Award-2.34.x, Phoenix-1.23.y or whatever). A lockable case normally only enables you to detect fraud afterwards - it will not put much resistance to damaging force.

comment A folder of files, all with different name, moving just the ones that are different
A tool like md5sum will not look for the timestamp, but every byte makes a differnce. From the title: different files. From the text: not similiar ones. What shall we choose? And: Given the files a1 a2 b c1 c2 c3, where a1=a2 and c1=c2=c3: move those who are differentt: would we move just b or a1, c1 as well? And why a1, and not a2?
