Help with router and spotty wireless Is there a "reset" button on the wireless, to set it back an unconfigured state? Try this also - turn off wireless on your computer and connect it to the router using an ethernet cable. Check if you can access it configuration that way. |

Concern over running WireShark as root In general, yes/no. Better not to use root where you can get by without it. But if this is just your home machine and you're not going to bring down your office network/servers, fire away. In relation to wireshark, I think you'll be safe enough. |
