I want patience and I want it now.

Also, I find that nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

Laziness is what gets me out of bed in the morning.

comment How to prevent volume hijack on win 7
Not a grammar mistake. But "used to play" means you don't play it anymore, in which case why would you need to fix the problem? Your edit fixed it.

comment Will there ever be faster CD and DVD discs and writers?
@Ramhound: Blu-Ray may be the future, but that future may be short-lived, as streaming media take over. By 2023 we may look back on Blu-Ray as an interesting experiment that represented the last gasp of media consumption in physical form.

@nhinkle: We've been interested in your site for a long time. This is just a trial run, a probe. If it works out for us — if your atmosphere is breathable, etc. — you may expect the death ships to arrive before long.

comment Psd - How to resize content
@Johannes Rössel: This is hair-splitting. At that size they're not really icons, either, since their use as such is very limited. Most of the icons you're likely to find on most of the web pages in the world are probably in the neighborhood of 16x16. If the OP's question regards what's the best resampling method to use for resizing in PSD, then the answer is bicubic.

Small icons (especially detailed ones) fare poorly when drawn in illustrator, even with CS5's pixel-grid. The vector interpolations simply can't accommodate the pixel interpretations, so lines get blurry and small objects may disappear entirely.

comment Why is Mac supposedly better than Windows for graphics?
I'm not saying there aren't comparable programs. I'm just saying if you have favorite programs on Windows they won't necessarily have ports on the Mac. I've gotten used to WinMerge, for example, and it's not ported to the Mac, so I have to use DiffMerge. Not bad, just different. I like it best when I can use programs that have identical versions on either system, like the Adobe products or, say, ActiveState's KomodoEdit.
