comment Easiest way to get right-click “Open command window here” with admin priveleges in Windows 7
+1; Works great! I'd add HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\runas:Extended="" etc. so that this appears on the shift+right-click menu rather than the right-click menu. Also, you have - for keys. Doesn't that delete the keys and sub-values? Shouldn't you leave the existing keys there, or is it probably safe/won't conflict?

-1 I don't seen any evidence that this will elevate by default under Windows 7, as the OP asked. It will add a link that already exists under Windows 7, but won't add elevation. Can you provide details to the contrary?

comment Tool to create a patch that modifies/adds files within a directory structure
+1; I think I could combine this with a batch file to get the right p-level. I'll accept this once I implement it, if it wasn't too much of a pain. Side note: Off the top of your head, do you know any .Net and/or Java libraries to apply patches?

+1; You could also type tasklist | findstr <pid-here>, so you don't have to leave the command line.

@JdeBP: I know this is bordering on a second question, but if a host is multi-homed, what does that mean, and how is that useful to me? If I ping it, I'll only get one address. Same if I try to terminal-serve to it. BTW, your link is quite useful to me, as it backs up the behavior I described in my question. You should write an answer :)
