I love to program, tinker with things and generally a curious person. My career started with developing DOS TSRs in x86 Assembler. My daily work includes programming in Delphi (Windows), Ruby on Rails (Linux) and Java (Android).

My company Hagel Technologies makes network bandwidth monitor DU Meter and other software. I sometimes write in my blog.

comment With 64kbps upload speed, is it worth buying a 720p webcam?
Depends on the compression and the framerate. Either "Video Calling" or "Video calling (high quality)". Both can be 640x480, but the quality will be vastly different. Video Calling (HD) is 720p.

comment System Restore Obsolete data Stores
@Pacerier: what is non-in-place upgrade? You can either do an upgrade or a full re-install. This folder can survive both, but not a disk re-format.

No, I mean sticking, say, Vista DVD into Windows XP machine and doing an upgrade from Windows XP to Windows Vista. Not just using Windows Update.

comment “find | grep | awk” fails miserabily
Your awk command works fine here, there's nothing wrong with it. If you're embedding this pipe into some other command (backticks, etc.) then the only difference I can think of is the single quotes you use in awk command.

comment How can I force a hybrid 64/32bit application to install as a 32bit software in Windows 7?
What application? I suppose its installer might have some command-line switches, but I doubt there is a generic answer to your question as-is.

"Connection established" above says you're probably wrong.

comment Windows doesn't recognise my USB key anymore (it used to work)
If your laptop has more than one USB port, try in a different one. Seems like a loose connector to me.

comment Differences between WiFi access with and without a webpage access?
Moreover, a captive portal lets you show an advertisement or legal agreement or information to unauthenticated user (e.g. go to the lobby and pay to get wi-fi password).
