I love to program, tinker with things and generally a curious person. My career started with developing DOS TSRs in x86 Assembler. My daily work includes programming in Delphi (Windows), Ruby on Rails (Linux) and Java (Android).

What does it mean for WinRAR to “check for SFX archives”? Yeah, and the file access will trigger an antivirus check each time you right click on an exe, etc. This option should stay disabled in my opinion, unless you really need it. |

Can't go over 10-12MBytes/sec in my network Please add more details: your OS (Windows, Linux?), make/model of the hardware, how do you do file transfers, etc. Also, try excluding the router, which often cannot support full gigabit speeds. Connect two computers directly with crossover cable and try again. |
