In Ubuntu 10.04 and higher you need to add i8042.reset command in /etc/default/grub instead. Find GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT in this file and add i8042.reset to it. Final result will look like this: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="i8042.reset quiet splash"

But there is no such a file called menu.lst in my /boot/grub/ folder.
