@HighlyIrregular is correct. All you see is the raw HTML that corresponds to the BODY of the email, but not the internet headers. The accepted answer by colonelPanic is correct.

comment App created in spreadsheet vs programming a full application - is there a middle ground?
We use WebMatrix and it's powerful and easy for a programmer, but I wouldn't recommend for this project. There's not a bit of drag and drop to it, so you have to be familar with HTML, vb, css, etc.

I never tried Lightswitch, but did a fair amount of research around it and it looked very promising and powerful. In addition to a 'no coding' solution, you can write vb or c# code in it and have the full power of ASP.Net. What ultimately steered me away from it and to WebMatrix was that Lightswitch relies on Silverlight technology which doesn't currently and probably will never run on iPad.

comment How can a CMOS battery store data?
A typical RTC spec sheet datasheets.maxim-ic.com/en/ds/DS1307.pdf shows that the timing does vary with the voltage, but only by less than 1 part in a million. I don't think that has any practical significance. More critical than the voltage is the temperature.

The clock is equally as accurate on battery or off. It depends on a crystal providing a timing signal. It's not highly accurate and depends on the operating system re-syncing it. In windows, I believe the default is weekly over the web.

comment Troubleshooting a crash with Windows 7
Rather than one by one, do a binary search: move half of them, the problem will either be there or not. If the problem is there, remove half of the half. Even with thousands, you can quicky find a single bad one using a binary search.

comment Choosing Windows 7 Starter or Windows XP Home for Netbook
Support is more than getting help with an issue. It includes patches for security vulnerabilities. For example there's a terrible LNK vulnerability that affects everything from web browsing to email. It didn't get patched in xp sp2 but did in sp3 because sp3 is still supported

The iGo has an adapter tip for the treo 680. Get the cable and the right tip and you're set

don't ask me why the default is to adjust them. I'm always unclicking it.

comment ms-access: is it possible to zoom in design view?
I think generally developers, maybe not hard core developers, are messing around with designs in Access, so thus not a superuser question. Unless he's doing a program to track his mp3's or something.

comment What could cause Vista machines to degrade in performance?
if you swap a hard disk from a "good" machine and put into the specific subset of machines, would the problem follow the harddisk or the machine?

comment How to stop scheduled chkdisk on windows 7?
We had a very similar problem, CHKDSK would run at every boot. Eventually, we let it run overnight, and i think it gets past the initial setup or initial analysis and then will let you stop it from the keyboard. How long are you waiting?

comment xp mode in Windows 7 - capture mouse?
just to be clear, when you're opening the vmcx, you see a start menu, desktop, and everything else for an XP machine? You might have to restart the virtual machine to get rid of the integration features. I don't understand what could be preventing the virtual machine itself from running full screen.

comment Windows 7: Search indexing is stuck
@Nifle - yes, it would also be a reasonble investigation to reduce the number of folders indexed. Under the start menu, type "indexing" and click on indexing options. That panel lists the locations you are indexing.

yes, very good idea to ensure the basics are working right. Also check the event log for system errors.

comment Get rid of “The Publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software”?
I think you mean UAC instead of DEP. DEP is Data Execution Prevention which helps prevent buffer overflows and other regular data from running as code. UAC is User Account Code.
