comment Is this a graphics card failure?
Yeah, doesn't sound good Alexander. It is pretty unlikely that both RAM sticks would fail at once -- if you want to confirm though before buying a new mobo, try one of them in a different computer.

Have you tried this: petefreitag.com/item/531.cfm? Specifically, this bit: svn co svn+ssh://<path to repo>

comment Nvidia system freeze while loading / unloading DirectX
You can send it back, but if there are no problems they may charge you (or at least make you pay for the freight). Can you try in another computer first?

comment Nvidia system freeze while loading / unloading DirectX
The Z87 Pro has two x16 slots and one x4, so there's at least one to try. Good luck!

Do you have a HDD? If so, try installing the game on that, in case the SSD has a fault. What PSU do you have? Can you try your GTX770 in another computer? Have you tried the GPU in a different PCIx16 slot on the motherboard?

comment Is ATI Radeon HD 7870 compatible with GA-G41M-Combo motherboard?
I'd only done a quick search, found this: teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=153319 (search for "bound" in there). It talks about how little GPU power is needed. (Disclaimer: I don't play SC2, so no first-hand knowledge, I just did the google thing :)

comment Checking in the code using tortoiseSVN that is checked out by tortoiseSVN 1.8
I'm pretty sure the client-side format changed between SVN 1.6 and 1.7, making them incompatible.

comment Is ATI Radeon HD 7870 compatible with GA-G41M-Combo motherboard?
PCIe 3.0 is backward compatible, though some motherboards have needed compatibility patches in the firmware to support newer cards. But...isn't SC2 mainly CPU-bound? Won't your E5300 be the thing that's holding you back?

comment New video card HIS 7790 OC 1GB: sytem doesn't boot
I won't argue that the power supply is a potential issue, but the TDP of the 7790 is only 85W...there should be enough power, unless the PSU is faulty or so old it can't deliver it's labelled 20A/20A on the 12V rails. (Getting a brand new good quality PSU would be a great option even if it isn't the problem).

@Alex, sorry, was just double-checking since it didn't explicitly say "no post" at the time. Do you have another computer that you can try the card in? It may be DOA. What is your PSU make/model out of interest?

Do you even see the motherboard post screen? I was under the impression that the 7790 uses a custom driver version specific to that model -- maybe the old driver is causing an issue?

comment NVIDIA GeForce 210 - taking out on-board network on HP ProLiant ML150G6?
@Vector: Is there another slot you can try the GPU in? I've really got no idea how to fix it, sorry -- was just supposition.

comment NVIDIA GeForce 210 - taking out on-board network on HP ProLiant ML150G6?
This is a bit of a stretch as an explanation, but here's the theory: the specs (h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/ds_00148/ds_00148.pdf) say the network is "Embedded HP NC107i PCI Express Gigabit Server Adapter"...some motherboards share PCIe lanes...when you plug in a GPU it turns off the lane doing the networking. I'd need to know a lot more about the motherboard architecture to know if this is even plausible though.
