comment How to lock screen with keyboard on Linux Mint (LXDE)
Thanks @mic84. The steps in your first link (wiki.lxde.org) worked. The file was named slightly differently for me, so I'll update the question with the exact steps.

comment How do I change the space I allocated to my virtual hard drive in VirtualBox?
I think the "dynamic expansion" option is up to the maximum you give (20Gb in this case). It means that the file outside the virtual box in your host HD doesn't necessarily take up the full 20Gb unless the virtual machine needs it. At least, that's how I interpreted the option.

comment Why would RTF files created with Pandoc be opened as plain text?
Thanks @John. That's the option I was looking for. I didn't comprehend from the docs how useful it would be.

comment How do I get Word to change my default number of copies to print?
I have a "Printing Defaults" button on the Advanced tab (on Vista). The number of copies option is in there. Does 7 have this button?

Okay, let's say I run the command echo Hello. Can you tell what you would like the content of Log1 and Log2 to look like after running that command?

Sorry, you've lost me. I thought you wanted to log the output of a command (in this example, echo $Log_general) to two files at the same time, which is what my snippet does.

comment Why would RTF files created with Pandoc be opened as plain text?
Thanks Nifle - that was exactly the problem. After manually wrapping the file in the "magic number" it was loaded properly (I suspect a bug in the converter). Cheers!

But the responses in that question are applicable (and are probably going to be repeated) here.
