Also, the Sysinternals utilities that @root suggests are very good. It is worth trying them out.

comment How to get rid of Adobe Update notifier
This thread is talking about the AAM process and has some suggestions for removing: thaivisa.com/forum/topic/546174-adobe-flash-player-update. Might be useful, but it just came up in search results, I can't vouch for any of the options they give.

Quick search on "LM Service" reveals that it is DRM/spyware that installs with CS5 (see answers.google.com/answers/threadview/id/321444.html). If you disable it, CS5 may not work anymore. So I don't think that's it.

I don't know. There are various options for tuning Eclipse (for example, by upping the memory allocated to it in eclipse.ini), which might help. It might be worthwhile installing a 3.8 somewhere just to try out.

The codename for 4.2 is Juno.

What version of Eclipse are you using? I haven't had videos playing at the same time, but if you're using Juno, I've noticed that it definitely has more lags (for example, while editing code or moving internal windows) than the 3.x versions (often enough that I'm considering rolling back to 3.8).

I like less (gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/less.htm), which isn't listed in that question since less isn't an editor.

comment How to detect a Wacom Intuos5 tablet in Linux Mint?
Yeah, I ended up finding some kernel patch emails that looked like it might not be up to date yet. Thanks for the tips.
